Stewart council sets preliminary tax levy

The Stewart City Council decided to set the city’s preliminary levy at a 3 percent increase, which amounts to $12,565.35, at a meeting Tuesday evening, Sept. 9.
The tax levy in 2019 was $418,845 and the proposed levy for 2020 is $431,410.
