Terry Buska, 63, of Glencoe


Terry Buska, 63, of Glencoe, died Wednesday, Feb. 22, 2017, at Glencoe Regional Health Services Long Term Care.
Funeral services were held Saturday, Feb. 25, at Christ Lutheran Church in Glencoe with the Rev. Katherine Rood officiating. Twyla Kirkeby was the pianist. Special music by Holly Dunn was “Daddy’s Hands.” Congregational hymns were “On Eagle’s Wings,” “You Are Mine” and “I, the Lord of Sea and Sky.”
A celebration of life was held after the service at the Glencoe VFW Club.
Urn bearers were Mark Simons, Larry Gruenhagen and Tom Rannow. Interment was in the Glencoe City Cemetery.
Terrance “Terry”  Buska was born April 16, 1953, in Glencoe, the son of Harold “Bud” and Celeste (Harens) Buska. He was baptized April 26, 1953, by the Rev. A.E. Luger, and was confirmed on April 12, 1964, by Bishop A.J. Schladeweiler, both at St. Peter and Paul Church in Glencoe. He attended school in Glencoe and graduated with the Glencoe High School class of 1971.
On March 3, 1979, he was united in marriage to Barb Randgaard by the Rev. Chet Hoversten at Christ Lutheran Church in Glencoe. The couple made their home in Glencoe, where they chose to raise their two children, Nathan and Kelly. They shared over 37 years of marriage.
Mr. Buska went to work at the 7Up Distribution Center in Glencoe after graduation, then worked for the Garage Supply before landing a job with the Glencoe City Street Department. He enjoyed working for the city and mentored other men, valuing the comradery shared with his co-workers. He and his wife owned and operated Lindy’s Café. He was a member of Christ Lutheran Church. He served on the Glencoe Fire Department for over 20 years and was a member of the Glencoe Sportsman’s Club, where he served many years as the president.
He loved to have fun and was known for his witty responses, giving others around him an immediate smile. He enjoyed cooking, baking, watching wildlife, especially birds, and going for rides with his favorite dog, Aussie. He liked to watch artists paint  and NASCAR, mainly cheering on Kasey Kahne. He lived life without regrets, and was a proud Dad who loved his family, giving each one his own nickname.
He is survived by his wife, Barb Buska of Glencoe; son, Nathan (Kelly Marie) Buska of Cologne; daughter, Kelly (Jeremy) Fiecke of Glencoe; grandchildren, Blake Fiecke, Amelia Buska, Harrison Buska and Brynley Fiecke; sisters, Patt Simons of Glencoe and Linda (Mel) Meyer of Gaylord; brother, Bruce Buska of Glencoe; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Tom (Deb) Randgaard of Faribault, Mariann (Wayne) Westermann of Plymouth and Jerry (Hollie) Randgaard of Willis, Texas; his riding partner, Aussie; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Bud and Celeste Buska; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Lowell and Betty Randgaard; and brothers-in-law, Dan Simons, Lance Podratz and Arlen Randgaard.
