Twyla Jean Fredin, 50, of Danube

Twyla Jean Fredin, 50, of Danube, formerly of Arlington, died Tuesday, Sept. 8, 2015, at her home.

Prayer services were held Thursday, Sept. 17, at the Johnson-McBride Funeral Chapel in Glencoe with the Rev. Harold Storm officiating. Congregational hymns were “What a Friend We Have in Jesus” and “Abide With Me.” Interment will be at a later date.

Twyla Jean Fredin was born Dec. 6, 1964, in Arlington, to Norman and Glenna (Hafemann) Mielke. She was baptized as an infant on Dec. 20, 1964, by the Rev. H.J. Malotky at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Green Isle, and confirmed in her faith as a youth on April 29, 1979, by the Rev. Harvey G. Kath at First Evangelical Lutheran Church in Glencoe. She received her education at Glencoe Public High School and graduated with the class of 1983.

She grew up on the Arlington area and was currently living in Danube. She farmed and also drove truck. She enjoyed crafting, antiquing and anything that involved trucks. She was considered a hardworking lady. Her greatest passion was her children. When she spoke of them, one could hear the fondness in her voice. One could see her in Seth’s smile. She called him her little “lady’s man” with that infectious grin of his. She was so proud of Edward with the amount he has achieved in such a short time. He has become quite the athlete. Alex is the genius and well on his way to educating others. As any mother of children like these, she had reason to be very proud indeed.

She is survived by her mother, Glenna Mielke of Arlington; children, Alex Reichenbach of Arlington, Edward Reichenbach of Arlington and Seth Fredin of Gaylord; siblings, Bev (Jim) Mackenthun of Glencoe, Delila (Jim) Duffy of Glencoe and Peg (Ken) Drentlaw of Green Isle; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

She was preceded in death by her father, Norman Mielke; and nephew, Dustin Michaelis.
