Veterans informational fair, flu shot clinic set

McLeod County Veterans Services and the St. Cloud VA Medical Center will present a veterans information fair and flu shot clinic Tuesday, Oct. 4, from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., at the Hutchinson National Guard Armory, 1200 Adams St. SE, Hutchinson.
All veterans, military service members and their families are welcome to learn about what the VA health care system has to offer. Veterans who are currently enrolled at a VA medical center can get a free flu shot. Assistance will be available for on-the-spot enrollments. Spouses also can get a flu shot from McLeod County Public Health for a small fee.
Informational presentation times and topics include:
• 11:30 a.m. to noon — Non-VA care and veterans choice program.
• Noon to 12:30 p.m. — Suicide prevention and the veterans crisis line.
• 12:30 p.m. to 1 p.m. — Telehealth services.
• 1 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. — Long-term care, community living center.
• 1:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. — Mental health programs.
• 2:30 p.m. to 3 p.m. — Home-based primary care.
• 3 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. — Hospice and palliative care.
• 3:30 p.m. to 4 p.m. — Care-giver support programs.
