Victor M. Brinkmeier, 92, of Hutchinson

Victor Martin Brinkmeier, 92, of Hutchinson, passed away Monday, Sept. 10, at the Saint Cloud Hospital in Saint Cloud. A Funeral Service was held Saturday, Sept. 15, 10 a.m., at Peace Lutheran Church in Hutchinson, with interment at Oakland Cemetery in Hutchinson.
Pastor Gerhard Bode officiated the ceremony.
Dr. Joan DeVee Dixon was the organist and “Amazing Grace,” “I’m But A Stranger Here,” and “What A Friend We Have In Jesus” were the congregational hymns.
Bob Kunkel, Paul Kaufmann, Gary Fitterer, Jerome Karl, Warren Kaufmann, and Eric Kaufmann were the casket-bearers.
Victor Martin Brinkmeier was born June 16, 1926, in Winsted Township. He was the son of Emil and Alma (Schulz) Brinkmeier. Mr. Brinkmeier was baptized as an infant and was later confirmed in his faith as a youth, at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church in Lester Prairie. He received his education in Lester Prairie, and was a graduate of the Lester Prairie High School Class of 1944.
On Aug. 8, 1948, Mr. Brinkmeier was united in marriage to Lorraine Kaufmann at First Lutheran Church in Glencoe. Lorraine passed away July 16, 2012. Victor and Lorraine shared over 63 years of marriage.
Mr. Brinkmeier was a lifelong farmer. He and Lorraine resided and farmed in rural Lester Prairie, rural Cedar Mills and south of Hutchinson. After retirement, they lived in Brownton. Victor and Lorraine later moved to Hutchinson. Mr. Brinkmeier was a member of the Peace Lutheran Church.
He enjoyed woodworking, fishing, card playing and traveling. Mr. Brinkmeier also had a passion for tending to his lawn, tomato plants and flowers. He especially enjoyed spending time with his family, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and friends.
Mr. Brinkmeier passed away Monday, Sept. 10, at the Saint Cloud Hospital in Saint Cloud at the age of 92 years.

Mr. Brinkmeier is survived by his son, Gary Brinkmeier and his fiancé, Cindy Baasch, of Hutchinson; daughter, Deb Rath, and her husband, Curt, of Saint Cloud; grandchildren, Brian Brinkmeier and his wife, Angie, Jodi Kulik, and her husband Tim, Ryan Rath, Kim Rath; great-grandchildren, Abby, Isabella and Jake Brinkmeier, Autumn, Andrew, and Aleece Kulik, and Noah Rath; special friend, Delores McLain, of Hutchinson; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Mr. Brinkmeier is preceded in death by his spouse, Lorraine Brinkmeier; parents, Emil and Alma Brinkmeier; sister, Marlene Brinkmeier; sister, Anita Dierfeldt and brother-in-law, Alvin; Daughter-In-Law, Yvonne Brinkmeier.
