Wayne Stockman, 74, of Burnsville

Wayne Warren Stockman, 74, of Burnsville, died peacefully at home Sunday, Feb. 22, 2015.
The funeral service will be held Thursday, Feb. 26, at 11 a.m., at the Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, 13901 Fairview Dr., Burnsville. Visitation will be Wednesday, Feb. 25, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m., at White Funeral Home, 12804 Nicollet Ave. S., Burnsville, and will continue one hour prior to the service at the church.
Interment will be in the Fort Snelling National Cemetery in Minneapolis.
Wayne Stockman was born March 23, 1940, in Stewart, to John and Ruth Stockman. Mr. Stockman and his siblings were raised on the family farm. He graduated from the University of Minnesota and was an officer in the Navy during the Vietnam War.
In 1970, he met the love of his life, Carole Ann Radke, and they were happily married for 43 years, raising three children, Ann, Jane (Matt) and John (Jane). He also is survived by grandchildren, Brendan, Alicea and Xavier; siblings, Almira Polzin, Earl (Kathy) Stockman, Arlene Torgerson, Ron (Cheryl) Stockman and Audrey Weber; and many nieces, nephews and their children.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Ruth Stockman; infant sister, Doris; and brothers-in-law, Vernon Polzin, Jim Weber and Curt Rutske.
Mr. Stockman worked for Farm Credit Services and founded Stockman Financial in 1990. He was a devoted Christian and member of Prince of Peace Lutheran Church. He enjoyed weekends on the family farm, tennis, hunting, fishing and was an avid reader. Most importantly, he enjoyed time with his family and friends.
Known for his kindness and generosity, Mr. Stockman was a humble man loved by all.
