WCAT, Trailblazer Transit partners nearing agreement on future plans
The Wright County Area Transit (WCAT) coalition “really wants” to take back its letter of intent to withdraw from Trailblazer Transit, the joint powers board heard at a meeting Thursday morning at Trailblazer’s Buffalo facility.
WCAT wrote a letter to its Trailblazer partners — McLeod and Sibley counties — outlining some requests that its members feel are needed to make the partnership work.
WCAT is suggesting that the joint powers board consist of equal membership from each partner — two members from WCAT, two from McLeod County and two from Sibley County.
However, it would like a majority vote to consist of a majority of the board members, with at least one yes vote from each entity.
