William ‘Billy’ Behl, 59, of Winthrop
William “Billy” Behl, 59, of Winthrop, died Wednesday, Dec. 30, 2015, at his home.
A visitation celebrating his life will be held Saturday, Jan. 16, from noon to 3 p.m., at Homeward Hills, 12000 Silverwood Dr., Eden Prairie.
William “Billy” Behl was born Nov. 7, 1956, in Aberdeen, S.D. He was raised in various small towns in South Dakota and Minnesota, but spent most of his life in the Glencoe area. He graduated from Glencoe High School in1975. He went on to have a long career as a semi-truck driver, eventually owning and operating his own truck. He loved NASCAR, sports, vintage cars, history and music.
He is survived by his three sisters, Marsha Schultz, Virginia (Clayton) Behl and Patt Behl; his brother, J.J. Jorgensen; nephews, Josh (Brandie) Behl and Jeremy Behl; niece, Miranda Veale; four aunts; and many, many cousins and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Graham and Mary Behl; brother, Steven Behl; brother-in-law, Mel Schultz; and many much-loved uncles, aunts and cousins.
