Women building a home
Celebrating women working in construction, a group of volunteers spent Friday and Saturday working on the interior of a Habitat for Humanity house on North Baldwin Avenue in Glencoe. The group of volunteers worked on flooring and trim boards. The home’s owners-to-be, Theresa Rannow and Trinity Johnson, and their children expect to be moving into the house later this spring. The volunteers Friday included (from left) Megan Jordan, Patty Lombardo, Amber Kauffman, Tami McGruder, Taylor Weichert, Sally Custer, Deb Rueb, Lorri Mittelksteadt and Chris Davis. A second group of volunteers was at the house Saturday and made great progress.
