Pamela Kay Templin, 49, of Stewart, died Thursday, March 27, 2014, at Harmony River Living Center in Hutchinson.
A memorial service was held Monday, March 31, at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Brownton with the Rev. R. Allan Reed officiating.
Robin Kruse was the organist and also sang “Amazing Grace.” The congregational hymns were “Just As I Am,” “I Know That My Redeemer Lives” and “How Great Thou Art.”
Honorary bearers were Kaleb Templin and Ella Templin. Interment was in the church cemetery.
Pamela Kay Templin was born Nov. 26, 1964, in Glencoe, to Wayne and Bernice (Eggers) Templin. She was baptized as an infant on Dec. 13, 1964, at St. Paul’s United Church of Christ in Plato, and confirmed in her faith as a youth on June 3, 1979, at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Brownton by the Rev. Reinhard Koepp. She was educated in Brownton and graduated with the Brownton High School class of 1983.
In 1995, Ms. Templin met her significant other, Steve Kosek, and they have been together for 19 years. She resided in the Brownton and Stewart areas.
Ms. Templin was employed as a nanny for several years for many different families. She especially enjoyed being a nanny; she “loved her kids.” She enjoyed looking at nature and going for drives. She especially cherished spending time with her family, nephew, niece and friends.
She was diagnosed with cancer in May 2011, and lost her courageous battle with cancer on Thursday, March 27.
She is survived by her significant other, Steve Kosek of Stewart; father, Wayne Templin of Brownton; brother and his wife, Randy and Nicole Templin of Brownton; nephew and niece, Kaleb and Ella Templin; many nanny families; many other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents and her mother, Bernice Templin.
