At least four people were injured in a two-vehicle head-on collision on Highway 212 just west of Stewart Tuesday morning at about 7:45 a.m.
According to the Minnesota State Patrol, a 2005 Dodge Magnum wagon, driven by Jacob Deal, 25, of Buffalo Lake, was eastbound on Highway 212 and trying to slow for traffic went it lost control and struck a westbound 1998 Chevrolet Malibu driven by Curtis Thul, 63, of Hector.
Deal suffered non-life-threatening injuries, as did two of his three passengers, including Nathan Knutson, 28, of Buffalo Lake, and Andrew Auld, 29, of Hutchinson. Injuries were not documented regarding a third passenger, Zachariah Wieweck, 23, of Buffalo Lake.
Thul also suffered non-life-threatening injuries. Deal and Thul were taken by ambulance to the Hutchinson hospital. The State Patrol did not report where the passengers were taken.
Assisting at the scene were the Renville County Sheriff's Office, Buffalo Lake and Hector ambulances and Stewart First Responders.
