The Glencoe-Silver Lake girls’ basketball team dropped its lone game last week, 59-44, at Annandale. With the setback, the Panthers fell to 13-9 overall and 2-4 in the Wright County Conference West.
“(Annandale) came out and executed their game plan well,” coach Zach Otto-Fisher said. “They are a strong team who I feel will win out their section and make a good push for state.”
It was the fifth loss in six games for GSL, dating back to Tuesday, Jan. 27. Prior to that, the Panthers had won six in a row, including a 55-46 home defeat of the Cardinals.
“We just had too many mental mistakes,” Otto-Fisher said. “We need to cut the mistakes down in the final two weeks of play.”
