United Way of McLeod County (UWMC) Board President Ron Johnson announced recently that the regional nonprofit will have an exhibit booth at the McLeod County Fair, which takes place Aug. 19-23 in Hutchinson. The five-day run of the fair will serve as the kick-off period to the UWMC’s 2015-16 Campaign.
“It’s important to us that people from throughout the region have a chance to stop by our booth and see the agencies and programs we are partnering with, and to hear about the services they provide,” said Johnson. “The county fair is one of the most exciting times of the year for our organization in that we get a unique opportunity to let people know what we do, and how we are making a difference in people’s lives.”
“We are happy to be a small part of the McLeod County Fair again this summer,” said UWMC Executive Director Paul Thompson. “This will be our ninth year in the exhibitor hall, and each time we have thoroughly enjoyed the chance to answer questions or hold conversations.”
