With the stroke of a pen, a Panther stated his intention to become a Maverick.
Teddy Petersen, Glencoe-Silver Lake senior and multi-sport standout signed his National Letter of Intent on Wednesday, Nov. 11 to attend Minnesota State University, Mankato next year and play baseball for the Mavericks.
“The biggest thing for me was to find the best fit academically and the feel of the university,” Petersen said. “(Mankato) just felt comfortable and they have a very good baseball program with a great tradition.”
Petersen was offered a scholarship after making his official campus visit in late September.
In joining the MSU Mankato community, Petersen chose the Mavericks over offers from Augustana University in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, and the University of Minnesota Duluth, as well as interest from North Dakota State University in Fargo.
