It would be hard to blame the Glencoe-Silver Lake boys’ basketball team if they are ready to put 2015 behind them.
It hasn’t been the kindest of opening stretches for the Panthers, who sat at 2-6 on the season after a 69-26 loss to Forest Lake in the opening round of the Tartan Holiday Tournament in Oakdale.
“It was a little rugged,” coach Robb DeCorsey said of the Forest Lake game. “It was a rough night.”
GSL has been already playing without guard Teddy Petersen, who is on the cusp of returning to the lineup following injury. However, the Panthers opened tourney play without a second member of their ideal starting lineup as forward Jacob Popelka was forced away due to a pressing family matter.
