The Glencoe-Silver Lake gymnastics team made their last road trip of the regular season last week, traveling to a dual meet at Howard Lake on Tuesday, Jan. 12, as well as an eight-team invitational in Farmington on Saturday, Jan. 16.
The Panthers recorded 119.875 points in finishing second to Howard Lake-Waverly-Winsted and 114.75 in placing sixth at Farmington.
“I think the girls are doing a great job keeping up with the many meets we have going on this month,” coach Kim Hahn said. “Some meets go better than others, but that is to be said for all of our meets. The important piece is that they are going out there and doing their best and having fun while doing it.”
Marissa Greeley recorded scores over eight in three of four events at HLWW to place second in the all-around with 31.275. Greeley scored an 8.25 on the balance beam to place second in that event – her top result of the night.
Gia Venier placed fourth in the all-around with a 29.8. Her best result was an 8.15 on the vault, earning her sixth in that event.
