The Glencoe Concert Association is kicking of its membership drive for 2016-2017 concerts at this season’s final concert in Glencoe on March 8 at the Glencoe City Center. The association has a goal of offering music anyone can like, regardless of personal tastes, at each offered concert.
The three Glencoe concerts planned for the new season are A Band Called Honalee, a tribute to Peter, Paul & Mary and the folk era; Wylie & The Wild West, a cowboy and western quartet from Big Sky Country; and New Odyssey — 3 Guys & 30 Instruments, a musical variety show.
The Glencoe and Hutchinson associations have reciprocity, so members can also attend three Hutchinson Concert Association Series. Hutchinson’s 2016-2017 concerts include Seraph Brass, a brass quintet; Acoustic Eidolon, a Colorado-based husband and wife duo on gitjo and cello; and America’s Roots of Pop, with musician Dave Bennett leading a high-energy quartet.
