Eleven members of the Glencoe Karate Club (GKC) competed in a tournament hosted by the Hutchinson Shotokan Karate Club at the Hutchinson Event Center on Saturday, March 12.
Among the placing GKC competitors were:
Addison Adams – first in Kihon, second in Ribbon Kumite.
Luke Becker – first in Ribbon Kumite, second in Kihon.
Abygail Smith – second in Ribbon Kumite, fourth in Kihon.
Amelia Boetel – first in Kata, third in Kumite.
Jurney Dammann – second in Kata.
Jose Becerra – third in Kumite, fourth in Kata.
Anya Mattson – third in Kata and Kumite.
Sofia Mattson – first in Kata, second in Kumite.
Kira Mattson –third in Kata, third in Kumite.
Matt Dammann – third in Kata.
Cortney Kressin – first in Kata, third in Team Kata, third in Kumite.
