On Tuesday, March 22, at 7:30 p.m., Glencoe-Silver Lake (GSL) will host the Jazz Ensemble from Southwest Minnesota State University and guest artist Mike Clark, an acclaimed drummer. The concert also will feature GSL Jazz I.
There is no admission charge for the concert, which will be held in the high school auditorium.
Clark gained worldwide recognition as one of America’s foremost jazz and funk drummers while playing with Herbie Hancock in the early 1970s. His incisive playing on Hancock’s “Actual Proof” garnered him an international cult following and influenced generations of drummers.
