An 18-year-old Glencoe woman was injured today (Wednesday) in a one-vehicle accident.
According to the Minnesota State Patrol, Christina M. Bonillo, 18, of Glencoe, was eastbound on Highway 212 at about 7:30 a.m. in a 2002 Ford Focus when she lost control, entered the median, came back across the eastbound lanes of traffic, entered the south ditch and struck a tree.
She was taken by ambulance to the Glencoe Regional Health Services Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Bonillo was wearing a seat belt and the air bags in the car deployed.
The Glencoe Fire Department responded to put out a fire in the vehicle. The vehicle was towed to Kevin's Auto and was severely damaged, according to the State Patrol.
