It was a one-game weekend for the Plato Blue Jays, and they made it count.
Plato rocked visiting St. Boni 12-0 on Sunday, May 15, scoring in five of its six turns at the plate before the game was called.
The Blue Jays put up seven runs in the bottom of the first inning, giving starting pitcher Adam Prehn far more offense than he would need in the contest. Prehn was dominant, allowing just two hits and one walk in seven innings while striking out six batters.
Derek Dittmer drove in three of Plato’s 12 runs and also scored twice as part of a 3-for-3 day at the plate.
