The Glencoe VFW Post 5102 baseball team won again in its lone game last week, shutting out Mound 10-0 on Wednesday, June 29.
Starting pitcher Taylor Schauer went all five innings in an abbreviated complete game victory, allowing four hits and no walks with one strikeout.
Glencoe took a 1-0 lead in the first, and then broke the game open with five runs in the third inning and four more in the fourth to cruise to the victory.
Gabe Roepke drove in four runs with a single and a double as part of a 2-for-2 day at the plate. Carsen Streich went 3-for-4 and scored two runs.
Schauer helped his own cause as one of six Glencoe players with one RBI – he also scored twice, as did Joe Knudten and Andrew Wraspir.
