It seems so long ago that the Glencoe-Silver Lake boys’ basketball team opened its season with an 0-3 record.
Nine victories ago, to be exact.
The Panthers finished off the pre-conference portion of their schedule with three consecutive wins last week to up its streak of victories to nine games as the squad prepares to open Wright County Conference West competition on Friday against visiting Litchfield.
“This team is just incredible,” coach Robb DeCorsey said. “It’s such a good group to coach – they are learning more and more every day.”
A run that began with a 65-50 win at Hutchinson a month ago carried through the first week of 2017 as GSL slogged through a trio of contests against prospective Section 2AA competitors in Jordan, Belle Plaine and LeSueur-Henderson.
