In its busiest week in over a month, the Glencoe-Silver Lake/Lester Prairie wrestling team came up on the unfortunate end of the scoresheet in a trio of dual competitions last week.
On Wednesday, Jan. 25, the Panthers fell 58-21 to Dassel-Cokato. GSL grapplers claimed four victories on the evening, while having to forfeit five matches.
Tanner Chmielewski earned one of GSL/LP’s three wins by fall after pinning the Chargers’ Ben Zobel at 120 pounds. Kole Polzin followed that pin up with another against Kaden Schmidt at 132.
The third such win came from Paul Lemke at 285 after he pinned Blake Snyder. At 220, Aaron Castillo gritted out a 10-8 decision over Jack Zobel.
The Panthers were at Paynesville the next night, falling 66-15 to the Bulldogs. GSL/LP won three matches, while again offering up five forfeits.
