The Glencoe-Silver Lake gymnastics team closed out its regular season on Thursday, Feb. 9, with a meet at Watertown-Mayer. The Panthers recorded a team score of 118.975, while the Royals amassed a score of 139.875.
Gia Venier placed second in the all-around with a score of 30.35, followed closely by Marissa Greeley's 30.25. Makayla Wigern tallied an all-around score of 28.35.
Venier placed third on the uneven bars with a 7.275 and was fifth on the balance beam with a 7.075. Greeley was sixth on floor exercise with an 8.35.
The GSL junior varsity recorded a score of 93.85, led by Amber Orr's all-around score of 24.95.
Up next for the Panthers is the Section 2A meet, which will again be held at the K&G Gymnastics Center in Mankato on Thursday. Meet introductions and march are slated to begin at 5:15 p.m., with competition to follow.
