Clare Ann “Little One” Peterson, 73, of Silver Lake, died peacefully at St. Cloud Hospital on Friday, March 17, 2017.
Funeral services were held Saturday, March 25, at St. Wenceslaus Church in New Prague with Deacon Bob Wagner officiating.
Clare Ann Peterson was born July 14, 1943, in St. Cloud, to Rex and Rose Mary Rice. She graduated from Annandale High School with the class of 1961. She married Marvin Peterson in 1975 and together they raised their family in Silver Lake. First and foremost, she was a stay-at-home mom, which we all know is really many jobs. Her career with Young America Corporation started in 1985 and continued until her car accident in October 1996. Once she was fully recovered in 2001, she began her new career in property management with Dominium Management, LLC, where she enjoyed the everyday challenges that came with the job until her retirement in 2007.
Mrs. Peterson was one of a kind, words can’t even begin to describe her. Her smile and laughter would captivate everyone as she entered any room, like rays of sunshine. The life trials and tribulations she endured echoed in the way she lived her life. Her unconditional love and wisdom, which she passed on to each and everyone she came into contact with, was priceless. She was adored by all who knew her and will be sorely missed.
She is survived by her devoted husband, Marvin Peterson; her loving sisters and brother, Cecilia Rice, Catherine Volstad and William “Bill” Rice; six loving children, Joe Hill, John and Jody Hill, Jim “Jingle” and Lisa Hill, Jeff Hill, Susan and Shawn Abrams and Teresa and Derek Anderson; along with many nieces, nephews, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and many extended family members.
She was preceded in death by her father and mother, Rex and Rose Mary Rice; sister, Christine Ciesinski; and other loved ones.
Flowers and condolences may be sent to Teresa Anderson, 1185 Farmers Lane, Belle Plaine, MN 56011.
