Marlyce Ann (Radoush) Lenzen was born Feb. 2, 1940, the daughter of Joseph and Anna (Schiller) Radoush on the family farm in rural Silver Lake. She was baptized and confirmed in her faith at the Presbyterian church in Silver Lake. She attended Silver Lake Public School. As a young lady, she moved to Minneapolis, where she worked in a drug store.
She was united in marriage to Elroy D. Lenzen. The couple made their home on the Lenzen family farm in Dahlgren Township in Carver County. They were best friends who were rarely away from each other or their lovely farm. Together they enjoyed old-time music, traveling in the Upper Midwest, and visiting with family and friends. They had a great love of their farm and their animals. Mrs. Lenzen was especially fond of taking care of their dogs. She was very proud of keeping a clean and orderly home. Her door was always open, especially to host her nieces and nephews. She had a wonderful relationship with her sister Rosemary and considered herself to be her sister’s mentor when they were growing up. In later years, Mrs. Lenzen enjoyed traveling with her sister and spending time together whenever possible. In recent years, Mrs. Lenzen really enjoyed getting involved with the activities of Westview Acres in Waconia.
She will be remembered as a beautiful, generous and shy woman. She cherished the time spent with family.
She is survived by her loving family, brothers and sister, Roger Radoush of Silver Lake, Donald Radoush of Silver Lake, Wallace Radoush of Gaylord and Rosemary Radoush of Shakopee; brother-in-law, Richard Zanger of Waconia; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
