St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, St. Matthew’s Lutheran Church and St. Boniface Catholic Church in Stewart are sponsoring a benefit breakfast for the Todd and Jody Uecker family Sunday, June 25, from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., at the Stewart Fire Hall. Todd Uecker has Marfan Syndrome and experienced a spinal arachnoid hemorrhage, which caused paralysis in his lower body. The breakfast will be an all-you-can-eat meal of pancakes, scrambled eggs, sausages, applesauce and beverages. A freewill donation will be taken. The three churches also are hosting an ecumenical worship service at 10 a.m. in the Stewart City Park. Please bring lawn chairs. In case of inclement weather, the service will be held in the Stewart Community Center.
