Mike Roman of St. Cloud has been hired as the new store director for Coborn’s in Glencoe. He started the position in the beginning of August.
Roman, who grew up in Kimball, has a long history with Coborn’s which began 15 years ago, in 2002.
“This is my second store director position,” said Roman.
Roman has previously held many different positions in Coborn’s stores including assistant store director, inventory control manager, shift manager and swing shift manager in locations such as Delano, Albertville, Sauk Rapids and St. Cloud.
He also went through a Leadership Enrichment Acceleration Program (LEAP) which allowed him to work in a number of different Coborn’s stores over the course of four months and go through all the different operations that take place in a grocery store, as well as at the corporate level.
Currently Roman and his wife Valarie live in St. Cloud, so Roman commutes five days a week, although they do have intentions to move here.
“We’re looking at spring of 2018 to make the move,” said Roman.
