Carl H. Webb, 87, of Silver Lake, died Tuesday, Sept. 5, 2017, at Harmony River Living Center in Hutchinson.
A Mass of Christian Burial was held Tuesday, Sept. 12, at Holy Family Catholic Church in Silver Lake with the Rev. Tony Stubeda as the celebrant. Interment with military honors was held in Holy Family Catholic Cemetery.
Carl Webb was born June 1, 1930, the son of Oscar J. and Blanche (Flindt) Webb. He honorably served his country in the U.S. Army during Vietnam and later belonged to the National Guard. He served 17 years in the U.S. Army and 13 years in the National Guard.
He was formerly employed at Millerbernd’s in Winsted for many years.
He was a faithful member of Holy Family Catholic Church in Silver Lake. He also was an active member of American Legion Post 141, VFW Post 906 and DAV Chapter 37. He belonged to the Silver Lake Sportsman’s Club and to the Gopher Campfire Club.
He enjoyed playing cards and cribbage, fishing, hunting and camping. He was proud of his service to his country!
He is survived by his children, Dione (Tim) Kowaleski of Leavenworth, Kansas, Ronald (Anna) Webb of Lansing, Kansas, Eileen Webb of Leavenworth, Kansas, Brian (Janelle) Webb of Cokato, Jodi Ondracek of Silver Lake, Jolene (Larry) Albrecht of Hutchinson and Julie Mickolichek of Hutchinson; 16 grandchildren; great-grandchildren; sisters and a brother, Vera Donnay, Clinton Webb, Ardis (Harold) Schriener and Carol (Larry) Walz; other relatives and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Alice Webb, in 2004; his parents; infant twin siblings; brothers, Richard Webb and Jay Webb; and sister, Lorretta Hoskins.
