At the Sept. 5 Glencoe City Council meeting, Brianna Korson of Stewart was sworn in by Mayor Randy Wilson as a full-time officer for the Glencoe Police Department.
Korson is replacing Officer Craig Losure, who retired from the department on Sept. 10 after 18 years of service. She comes highly recommended by Police Chief Jim Raiter, who believes Korson will be a solid officer for the Glencoe Police Department and a good fit for the citizens of Glencoe.
Korson has been a reserve member for the Glencoe Police Department since 2015. In this position, she covered shifts that became available due to officer vacations; in November 2016, Korson began working part time for the department. Korson also is a volunteer firefighter for the Stewart Fire Department.
For more about Korson, see the Sept. 20 print edition of The Chronicle.
