The Glencoe-Silver Lake (GSL) Supermileage Team hosted a Youth Energy Summit (YES!) winter workshop in early December to talk about renewable and efficient automotive design practices to help them in their team-based projects this school year.
At the YES! winter workshop, nine GSL YES! students heard presentations from multiple experts in the automotive and technology fields.
They learned about solar panels from Aaron Busse of Minnesota Renewable Energies, Inc., located in Glencoe. He educated the students on how solar panels work and the options the GSL Supermileage and Solar Boat teams have for using them in their own designs.
