Four Hutchinson residents were injured Tuesday at about 5:40 p.m. in a two-vehicle crash on Highway 7 near McLeod County Road 16 in Silver Lake.
According to the Minnesota State Patrol, a 2007 Ford pickup driven by Dustin Plombon, 35, of Hutchinson, was westbound on Highway 7, and a 2014 Chevrolet Cruze, driven by Richard Arthur Krueger, 75, of Hutchinson, was southbound on County Road 16 when the vehicles collided at the intersection.
Plombon and Krueger were both injured, as were passengers in the Krueger vehicle, which included Mikala Jasmine Krueger, 15, and Patricia Ann Krueger, 73. All were taken to Hutchinson Health Hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries. All were wearing seat belts, and alcohol was not a factor in the accident, according to the state patrol.
Assisting the state patrol at the accident were the McLeod County Sheriff’s Office, Silver Lake Fire Department, Silver Lake Police Department, Silver Lake Ambulance and Allina Ambulance.
