The Glencoe-Silver Lake gymnastics team competed in its final regular-season road meet of the year on Thursday, Jan. 25, falling 136.350-120.225 at New Prague.
Marissa Greeley won the individual all-around with a score of 32.550. She placed second on floor exercise with an 8.90, fifth on balance beam with a 7.95, fifth on vault at 8.525 and sixth on parallel bars at 7.175.
Gia Venier took third in the all-around with a 30.400, which included a fourth-place showing on vault (8.700). She was also fifth on floor (8.225), seventh on beam (6.900) and eighth on bars (6.575).
Makayla Wigern placed fourth in the all-around at 30.025; Sierra Trebesch was eighth (20.075) and Amber Orr ninth (19.675) after competing in three of four varsity all-around events.
The GSL junior varsity recorded a 61.500, led by Aaliyah Manley, who scored a 23.250 in the individual all-around.
With the section meet beckoning on Thursday, Feb. 15, in Waconia, the Panthers have two more home meets to prepare for the postseason.
GSL hosts Delano and Litchfield in a triangular meet that begins at 6 p.m. Friday, with Watertown-Mayer/Mound Westonka coming to town for a dual meet on Thursday, Feb. 8.
