The McLeod County Planning Advisory Commission made short work of three applications for conditional use permits (CUPs) Wednesday, March 28, as no one from the public showed up for the hearings related to each of the three applications.
Those applications included:
• A request from Kerry Krueger to build a pole shed on property owned by Bonnie Lou Krueger near Vale Avenue in Acoma Township. The shed will be used for seasonal maintenance and as a warming area for Christmas tree sales on the property.
• A request from Robert and Joanne Keilen to build a detached accessory building in a front-yard area for use as a garage and cold storage. The Keilens’ residence is located in the North High Subdivision of Hutchinson Township.
• A request from Matthew Fleck to build a modular home as a second farm dwelling on property owned by Charmaine Picha in Glencoe Township. Fleck operates the farm owned by Picha.
Since there were no concerns expressed by neighbors on any of the applications, the commission is recommending approval to the County Board, which will take up the permits on its consent agenda at its April 17 meeting.
