A resurfacing project on Highway 7 near Silver Lake was scheduled to begin today, Wednesday, Aug. 29. Paving will occur on Highway 7 from just east of Silver Lake to the junction of Highway 25.
The road will be reduced to one lane and a pilot car will be directing traffic. Motorists should anticipate delays.
Benefits of the project include a smoother road surface and extending the life of the pavement. The project is estimated to cost $3.1 million and to be complete by Oct. 12. Central Specialties is the contractor.
