Isabel Marie Karg, 21, of Glencoe passed away Tuesday, Aug. 28, at Fairview Southdale Hospital in Edina. Mass of Christian Burial was held Wednesday, Sept. 5, 11:30 a.m., at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church in Minnetonka, with internment at First Evangelical Lutheran Cemetery in Glencoe.
Rev. John Bauer and Rev. Patrick Hipwell officiated the ceremony.
Michael Ferguson played the organ and Holly Corrick played the flute. The song leader was Elaine Charbonneau. The musical selections were, “Here I Am Lord,” “Psalm 23: The Lord Is My Shepherd,” “Make Me A Channel Of Your Peace,” “On Eagle’s Wings,” “The Hand Of God,” and “You Are Mine.” Special CD music, “Nobody Knows It But Me” by Tony Rich was also played.
Casket-bearers were Jeff Rose, Scott Metteer, Dan Charbonneau, Dain Charbonneau, Steven Charbonneau, and Wyatt Simrell. Marcus Charbonneau was an honorary casket-bearer.
Miss Karg was born Dec. 6, 1996, in Glencoe. She was the daughter of Jeremy Karg and Reane Charbonneau. Isabel was Baptized as an infant at St. Joan of Arc in Minneapolis, and attended Sunday school and confirmation classes at First Evangelical Lutheran Church in Glencoe. She attended Mass with her mom at IHM in Minnetonka. Isabel received her education in Glencoe, graduating with the Glencoe High School Class of 2016.
Miss Karg made her home in Glencoe, Minnesota. She was always a giving person, which continued after her death by giving the gift of life to others with organ donation. Isabel treasured children and loved babysitting and caring for them. She enjoyed going to the lake, fishing with grandpa and loved animals. Miss Karg’s favorite foods were Chinese and fettucine alfredo. She cherished the time spent with her many family and friends.
Miss Karg passed away on Tuesday, Aug. 28, 2018, at Fairview Southdale Hospital in Edina at the age of 21 years, 8 months and 22 days. Blessed be her memory.
Miss Karg is survived by her parents, Jeremy Karg and his wife, Jody, of Fort Knox, Ky; Reane Charbonneau and her fiancé, Scott, of Glencoe; special friend, Anthony “Tony” Bulmer; siblings, Niquole and Ethan Karg of Fort Knox, Ky.; grandparents, Wayne and Pam Karg of Glencoe; David and Marianne Charbonneau of Minnetonka; great-grandparents, Wayne Bluhm of Brownton, Alice “Mopsy” Karg of Glencoe; aunts and uncles, Jennifer “Jenn” Ribar of Waconia, Daniel Charbonneau and his wife, Renae, of Chanhassen, Nicole Charbonneau and her husband, Christoph, of Germany, Dain Charbonneau and his wife, Elaine, of Seattle, Wash., Steven Charbonneau and his wife, Juliet, of Minnetonka, Tammy Charbonneau of Denver, Colo., Marcus Charbonneau of Mankato; cousins, Lenna Ribar, Raven Ribar, Nick Becker, and many other relatives and friends.
Isabel is preceded in death by her great-grandparents, Sylvia Bluhm, Elmer Karg, Anna and Arthur Charbonneau, Mary and Lawrence Kast, Viola; and great uncles, Howard Karg, Michael Ufkes.
