KathyLynne Klucas Kirsch, 64, of Stewart, passed away Wednesday, Dec. 12, at the Buffalo Lake Healthcare Center. A memorial Service was held Saturday, Dec. 22, 11 a.m., at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Stewart, with interment following in the church cemetery.
A gathering of family and friends was held Saturday, Dec. 22, 9 to 11 a.m., at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church with Pastor Mahlon Bekedam officiating.
Bev Wangerin served as the organist with special music provided by Kathy Brinkman, and Jennifer Klucas. Rolland Kirsch was the urn-bearer.
KathyLynne Klucas Kirsch was born June 23, 1954, in New Ulm, the daughter of Quentin and Ordell (Miller) Klucas. She was baptized as an infant at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Stewart, and confirmed in her faith there as a youth.
Mrs. Kirsch grew up in Stewart and graduated from the Stewart Public School with the Class of 1972. She continued her education at HAVTI, the Hutchinson Area Vocational Technical Institute, and graduated in 1974 with an accounting degree. She earned her liberal arts associate degree at St. Cloud State University. She later studied the LPN program at Ridgewater College in Hutchinson.
Mrs. Kirsch worked for the Continental Telephone Company for 17 years. She worked for HTI in Hutchinson for 11 years, and also for NordicTrack. She enjoyed her work as a CNA at the Golden Living Center in Olivia. She enjoyed working and visiting with customers at her last two places of employment, Wal-mart and Menard’s in Hutchinson.
She was united in marriage to Rolland Kirsch at Zion United Methodist Church in Buffalo Lake Sept. 8, 2007. They made their home in Stewart.
Mrs. Kirsch was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Stewart where she taught Sunday school and sang in the church choir. She was talented with sewing and knitting, and made many baby quilts. She enjoyed making crafts and refinishing furniture, and liked going to auctions.
Mrs. Kirsch passed away on Wednesday, Dec. 12 at the Buffalo Lake Healthcare Center, having reached the age of 64 years, 5 months, 19 days. Blessed be her memory.
Mrs. Kirsch is survived by her husband, Rolland Kirsch of Stewart; mother, Ordell Klucas of Stewart; brother, Kevin Klucas and his wife, Janelle, of Stewart; sister, Shelly Lange of Stewart; stepchildren, Timothy (Tereasa) Kirsch and their two children of Montivedo, Minnesota, and Katherine (Sara) Hang of Winona; father-in-law, Joe Kirsch of Viola, Wisc.; mother-in-law, Karen Kirsch of Merrillan, Wisc.; nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
Mrs. Kirsch was preceded in death by her dad, Quentin Klucas; nephew, Brett Lange, and great-nephew, Noah Klucas.
