In a short season, the Plato Blue Jays were hoping for a quicker start out of the gate. Despite the team’s best effort, an uphill climb is on the horizon as the team rebuilds after the loss of experienced players from last year’s ball club.
Plato has dropped its first three games, suffering a 2-0 loss to Waconia Saturday, June 20, a 10-2 setback against St. Boni Sunday, June 21, followed by a 9-0 loss to Carver Sunday, June 28.
Plato will be back in action tonight, Wednesday, July 1, 7:30 p.m., at Cologne. Sunday, July 5, 5 p.m., the Blue Jays are slated to host Winsted. They’ll head north Tuesday, July 7, 7:30 p.m., to face Watertown.
